Just below the right foot of Pegasus is the bright, elongated spiral H.I.53. With a bright nucleus and fainter arms, this galaxy bears a striking resemblence to the much larger Andromeda Galaxy without the companions. At the tenth magnitude, H.I.53 is relatively big and should not be overlooked by anyone with a six-inch telescope.
